Does the SeaRoam Data SIM have a PIN lock?

Yes, by default it is 0000. However, it is possible to lock your SeaRoam Data SIM by entering the wrong PIN number 3 times or more. If this occurs, you can find your PUK number on your Data SIM packaging or please contact SeaRoam customer support at team@searoam.com.

How do I check my balance?

To check your balance, remove the Data SIM from the dongle (internet stick), insert it in an unlocked mobile phone then -
Dial *120# and press the Call button.

Once you have registered you Data SIM card at www.searoam.com you will be able to login to your account and view your balance on-line.

Will my SeaRoam Data credit expire?

Yes, your credit will expire 365 days after your last on-line top-up.

Will my SeaRoam Data SIM card expire?

Yes, your SeaRoam Data SIM card will expire 365 days after your last cash top-up.

How do I load a Data top-up voucher?

To load a Data top-up voucher - Remove the Data SIM from the dongle, insert it in an unlocked mobile phone then -
Dial *121*vouchernumber# and press the Call button.

If further credit is purchased on-line, via your on-line account, after registering your Data SIM at www.searoam.com, the credit will be added directly to your Data SIM card.

How do I top up my Data SIM card?

There are two ways to top up a SeaRoam Data SIM.

  1. Register your Data SIM card on www.searoam.com, log in to your account and select the "ADD CREDIT" button.
    You can also register your credit card on the website and use our "AUTO TOP-UP" facility which will automatically add credit to your account when your credit is running low so you will never run out of credit for you Data SIM card.
  2. You can also top up using an electronic voucher or scratch card. Simply insert the Data SIM card in an unlocked mobile phone and Dial *121*vouchernumber# and press the Call button.

If further credit is purchased on-line without creating an on-line account, you will be sent an email, with your top-up voucher number on it. You can then load the credit as above.

Also further credit & data products can be purchased from many seafarers missions & centres worldwide.

What are the SeaRoam Data SIM APN Settings to connect to the internet?

To use this feature you need to enter our APN (mobile access point in your device).
The SeaRoam APN settings are as follows:

APN: speedidata.com
Username: speedidata
Password: speedidata

If at any time you experience connection problems, please check your settings. Or completely power off your device and then try again.

Can I track and manage my account online?

Yes you can. Login to your account online. You can now:

Add credit to your account
View real time call records

Do I have to have a credit card to top-up my SeaRoam data SIM?

Yes. SeaRoam currently accept the following as payment methods:

MasterCard

Visa

Laser

PayPal

Nokia CS-10 Dongle (internet stick) and Windows 7 compatibility

Please note that if you are using Windows 7 you will have to download a driver in order to use the Nokia CS-10 Dongle.
Note: The file for the driver is quite large, so we do not recommend you download this while using Data roaming on your SeaRoam Data SIM.
